Germany has much been like a second home to not only myself but my entire immediate family. I grew fond of the country pretty much the moment we drove through it; it felt more like home than home in Italy ever did, surrounded by mountains and lush quietness. I grew up learning how to ski on the tallest peak in Germany (not The Alps overall) and eventually named my own dog after The Zugspitze. Besides the winter time fun, the area itself is an incredible window into the Bavarian Alp atmosphere, offering plenty of hiking, biking, and sightseeing. Just a quick trip away from the many ski areas is the iconic town of Munich as well as the castle that inspired Disney’s: Neuschwanstien.
